Integrating the ideas presented in Communicate: Stakeholders quests, create a blog post in which you discuss reasons why effective communication remains an essential part of online instruction. In the blog post, create an example of an ongoing communication that could be sent to all stakeholders. Ensure the product is creative, informative, and adheres to FERPA guidelines.
As Frances
Bacon said “Knowledge is power.” Effective communication helps all stakeholders have the
knowledge that they need to be
successful in the course. Communication from the teacher to students/parents
should help them realize important dates, course progress, Extra Learning Opportunities
etc. Communication needs to occur daily in the LMS through emails, news
announcements, or even phone calls. To help stay motivated students need to see that instructors
are invested in this course and their learning. Parents need to be aware of
heir child’s progress and what opportunities are out there to help their
student succeed.
There are several ways to communicate with stakeholders, but some
creative ways include newsletters, fun news announcements, and phone
messages. Adding fun news
announcements to the home page is a great way to get student’s attention when
they log in. They should remind students of events, deadlines, provide
enrichment, or words of encouragement.
Here is an example of a message I made using Typorama free templates:
