As an online instructor, how do you plan to incorporate news items and announcements? What resources would you reference to format news items? Create an example of a News Item and share the example in your blog. If the News Item includes a video or interactive, please share the link or, better yet, use an embed code.
I
use news announcements to show connect their learning to the real world, remind
them about upcoming synchronous chats, Extra Learning Opportunities, and to just
say “Hi.”
I
try to format my news announcements so like announcements have the same fonts,
graphics, images etc. When creating announcements, colors, size of fonts and
images, and length of announcements should be considered.
Here
is a news announcement I made to offer enrichment for students to help them with
content they were having trouble with. I embedded a video, which discussed the differences
between incidence and prevalence?
